## Abstract The essential oil and the absolute of __Artemisia salsoloides__ Willd. was investigated. More than 100 compounds, mainly monoterpene derivatives, could be identified by GC‐MS and/or ^1^H‐NMR spectra. (Z)‐Jasmone and some cinnamates are most interesting from the olfactory point of view.
