In one of his most infamous tirades against philosophical metaphysics, especially of the Hegelian variety, Sffren Kierkegaard maintained in The Concluding Unscientific Postscript that an existential system was impossible, even though a logical system was possible) I propose to examine the philosophical meaning and alleged justification of these claims as well as their theological significance.
