The dependence of adsorption of chlorobenzene at the gold/electrolyte (0.5 M H2S04) interface on electrode potential, bulk concentration and temperature has been investigated using a "'C-radiotracer technique. For higher bulk concentrations of chlorobenzene, multilayer adsorption has been observed.

The double layer capacitance was measured on gold-bead electrodes in N,-stirred 2 N Na,SO, solution as a function of the pre-treatment of the gold surface. Such measurements are sensitive to small quantities of adsorbed oxygen. It is suggested that oxygen may be adsorbed in rather small quantities o
