✦ Synopsis

A classical hopping model is applied to cation motion in zeolites. Fifteen dielectric relaxation modes and non-zero conductivity are found in zeolite NaA. Using data from previous molecular dynamics simulations, the temperature dependence of activation energies, relaxation frequencies and amplitudes is numerically calculated. Strong deviations from Arrhenius behavior are obtained. These results are consistent with room temperature experimental data and predict two relaxation domains and a lower conductivity activation energy at higher temperatures.
