โœฆ Synopsis

Ah&r&-Ionic association in complexes of poly(propylene oxide) with alkali metal salts of thiocyanate, fluoroborate, and perchlorate anions was studied with Raman scattering and infrared transmission spectroscopy, Thiocyanate complexes are strongly coordinated through the nitrogen end of the anion. Cation-anion interactions in perchlorate complexes are found to be extremely weak. There are probably relatively strong ionic interactions in lithium fluoroborate complexes, but the data are not definitive.
