β¦ Synopsis
Electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole and N-methylpyrrole was conducted in aqueous solution . Polymeric anions such as polystyrenesulfonate and polyvinylsulfonate which contain the sulfonate group were selectively incorporated into the polypyrrole and poly-N-methylpyrrole matrices . Scanning electron micrographs reveal that a small amount of polymeric anion affects the surface morphology of the resulting polymer.
