Abstract
The European Union as a whole is on track to exceed its selfβimposed target of deriving at least 20 percent of its energy consumption from renewable sources by the year 2020. Ten EU member states expect to exceed their targets. But Italy is lagging behind.
However, Italy is the only country falling short of its goal that intends to make up the deficit by joint projects with other countries. This makes Italy a good target for foreign firms who want to invest in Italian photovoltaic technology, according to the authors of this article. And they offer a stepβbyβstep guide for foreign investors. Β© 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
