โฆ Synopsis
Portland clinkers containing side by side the phases C$, and &As, and optionally also C,AF and C,S, ay be produced by burning pertinent raw meals with added small amounts of CaF, to temperatures 1250-1300ยฐC. Such clinkers exhibit a significantly improved grindability as compared to ordinary portland cement clinker. The Sterength development of cements made from these clinkers depends greatly on the amount of added gypsum and at optimum gypsum additions is similar to that of ordinary portland cement.

Subject of this paper is the effect of MoO~, Nh~O=, WO~ and Zr02 on the properties of clinker originated from raw mixes containins the above oxides. This effect was studied by means of differential scanning calorimetry, X-Ray diffraction, optical and scanning electron microscopy. Final discussion co
In as series of cements made out of clinkers with variable C3A/C4AF ratios and containing different amounts of gypsum, the strength development and the composition of the hydrated material were studied. For a single clinker composition the obtained strength appears to be just a function of porosity.
Phase equilibrEa and thermodynamics have been used to determine compatabilities in the systems CaSO4-K2SO4 and K2SO4-CaCO3. In the CaSOยข-K2SO4 system, a polymorphic inversion at 200"C is encountered in K2Ca2(SO4)3. Thermodynamic calculation of the reciprocal salt system K2SO4-CaCO3-CaSO4-KzC03 dis
The experimental investigation is part of a wider research programme, addressed to correlating the modifications in the physical microstructure, due to gypsum addition, with the mechanical behaviour of cement mortars. This fast paper reports on the examination of a series of mortars manufactured wit
