Abstract
trans‐2,3‐Dibromo‐1,4‐dioxan crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group P2~1~2~1~2~1~, Z = 4, with cell dimensions: a = 5.68^5^, b = 7.59, c = 15.82 Å at −100°.
The structure was refined in two centrosymmetric projections by means of reflexion data obtained at −100° using copper radiation. The dioxan ring has the chair conformation; the bromine atoms occupy axial positions.
