✦ Synopsis

Abstract

trans‐2,3‐Dichloro‐1,4‐dioxan crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2~1~/c, Z = 4, with cell dimensions:

a = 7.203 Å, b = 5.704 Å, c = 15.79 Å, β = 107.3° at −145°.

The structure was refined in two projections by means of reflexion data obtained at −145° using molybdenum radiation. The dioxan ring has the chair conformation; the chlorine atoms occupy axial positions.
