β¦ Synopsis
Investigation of Convection in the Solution Zone at the Growth of CdTe by THM A i l iiivestigatioii of the axial tempcraturc distribution i r i the solution zone at THM growth of CdTc is prcscritcd. The results support the assumption, t h a t density diffcrences coused by coiicer~tration differences there are a substantiai contribution t o convection in the zonc. The concentrat, ion Hayleigh-number and the needed concentration expansion coefficient of the real experimental condition are estimated.

The dependence of the growth rate of Sic crystals on the diameter of the graphite crystallization sleeve (GCS) forming the crystal growth zone has been investigated. It has been established that at a given crucible construction there is an exactly determined diameter of (GCS) for growing of Sic crys
