✦ Synopsis

Two substances were formed on layer-chromatographic work-up of 6. One had an even lower, the other a considerably higher relative migration rate than 6. The latter turned out to be the isomer 4 formed by elimination of methanol, which could also be obtained from 6 directly by reaction with methoxide.
