โœฆ Synopsis

By separating the pure quantuin mechanical dephasing of an initial vibrational nonstationary state from irreversible vibrational decay, recent progress in the theory of electronic relasation processes is immediateIy utilized to describe various types of intramolecular vibrational rcka?ion phenomena. The theory is applied to the description of situations involving the presence of both intramolecutu vibrationA and electronic relaxation, and the case of unimolecular decompositions is briefly &cussed.
