โฆ Synopsis
Excitation energy dependences of fluorescence (lifetime and quantum yield) in diktc vapors of tetracene and pentacene show evidence of intramolecu~r vibrational refasaticn which competes with electronic relaxation. The results imply that intramolecuhr vibrational energy redistribution is 3 fast process compared with etcctronic relaxation for aromatic molecules with large excess vibrational energies.
