✦ Synopsis
Two-component nonequilibrium chromatography has been studied. We have extended our previous work on interference through coupling of the adsorption equilibrium to the situation in which interference occurs through both equilibrium and diffusion. The expressions for the first and second moments, for the components and for the waves, have been obtained by Laplace transformation and matrix diagonalization. Interference through diffusion plays a secondary role compared with that through the equilibrium.
