โฆ Synopsis
A close look is taken into the mechanism of design processes and the value of man-machine interactive methods shown. The paper describes an interactive system for reinforced concrete design, the DECIDE system, which uses the smallest machines appropriate for such methods, namely, programmable desk top calculators. It is shown that such machines can be used with great effect in design.
