β¦ Synopsis
When a computer is used in electric circuit design it forms part of an iterative loop and so the ergonomics of its input and output become of major importance. A circuit analysis program is described, which uses interactive graphics, and which was designed with particular attention given to ergonomics.

Efficient use of the Hessian matrix for circuit optimization '. Proc. IEEE ISCAS (1975), pp 324-327 Recent work on circuit optimization has shown that, in some cases, explicit calculation of the Hessian matrix is not difficult, and the advantages are worthwhile. It is now shown that the minimum work
The interactive-graphic man-computer dialogue in computer-aided circuit design' Trans CAS-24 No 2 (Feb 1977) pp 49-61 The crucial role played by the man--computer dialogue in computer-aided circuit design, and particularly within an interactive graphic medium, is demonstrated by reference to a worki
Modern printed circuits are manufactured using a mask. This mask can be prepared by directin~ a light beam around a photographic plate to describe the required circuit. An etching process is then used to transfer the circuit from the photographic plate (the mask) to the circuit board. A description
This paper concerns a graphic database which plays a central role in CAD for very complicated and structured objects such as mechanical products. A new approach is proposed here to show how to construct a database for such geometric information and how to manipulate it interactively in the design pr
