## Abstract Interaction of DNA with bis(diiminosuccinonitrilo)platinum(II) has been studied by UVβvisible absorbance spectra, fluorescence spectra and viscosity measurements. The UVβvisible absorption spectra of the metal complex exhibit hypochromism with a small blue shift on interaction with DNA.

Kinetics of the condensation reaction of ninhydrin and the [Ni(II)-histidine] Ο© complex has been studied spectrophotometrically at pH 5.0, both in aqueous and aqueouscationic micelles of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The same product was obtained in both the media. The results obtained in t
The kinetic stopped flow method has been used to study the reaction rates of Ni(I1) and Pd(I1) with methioninehydroxamate (Mx). Two reaction rates were observed in the MX-Ni(I1) system whereas three rates were observed in the MX-Pd(II) system. Most of the rate steps were dependent on pH as well as o
In 28 serum and plasma samples from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, we examined the importance of antibody class with respect to complement-mediated binding to human red blood cells (RBC) of antibody/DNA immune complexes (IC) prepared with anti-DNA antibodies. We used both 3H-double-stra
