β¦ Synopsis
A new integrative optimization of three chirped mirrors for precise broadband intracavity group delay dispersion compensation in ring cavity is proposed. Simulation demonstrates that the residual group delay dispersion ripples of these three chirped mirrors are less than 25 fs 2 for most of the wavelengths from 600 to 1200 nm. Pulse evolution simulation shows that these three matched chirped mirrors compensate the group delay dispersion in the Ti:Sapphire ring cavity laser well to obtain an octave-spanning spectrum.

The optimum design for a 10-Gb / s NRZ chirped fiber grating dispersion-compensated system operating at 1.55 m over standard fiber is investigated. The study considers self-phase modulation, dispersion, modulator chirp, and amplifier noise. Transmission over 1700 km of fiber may be achieved by incor
We report a detailed characterization of the properties of a chirped fiber Bragg grating with respect to the amount of applied chirp. The results demonstrate the reflection and dispersion dependencies associated with any linearly chirped grating. The dispersion of the device tested could be continuo
Different schemes of dispersion compensation and the cascadability of chirped fiber gratings as dispersion compensators are in¨estigated. It is found that the coupling apodization profiles ha¨e great influences on the cascadability of the fiber gratings. In addition, we found that the optimal fiber
In this paper, we numerically investigate and optimize the profile of a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) that can eliminate the residual dispersion from the telecom link as well as can provide identical dispersion compensation over S + C + L bands. A full-vectorial finite element method combined with ge
