โœฆ Synopsis

In order to reduce the cycle time of cure of thermosets, one of the best method is to use a system of injection moulding. This system enables one to inject the thermoset at a higher temperature than room temperature in the heated mould. Thus the heating period of the resin may be significantly reduced. Of course, the higher the temperature of the resin at the time of injection, the shorter the time of cure. However, some inconvenience may result if the cure of the resin takes place in the injection system. The value of the temperature of the resin at injection is thus a parameter of great importance. Experiments and numerical models are used to describe the process of cure with a system of injection, and the effect of the injection temperature on the process is examined.

## Abstract In gas assisted injection moulding the melt front advancement has a considerable effect on the gas penetration. The evaluation of an appropriate melt filling is an important step to avoid instabilities in the process sequence. Taking a sample moulded part a procedure is presented that e
