โœฆ Synopsis

Keishi-bukuryo-gan, a traditional herbal medicine, is a representative drug for blood stagnation and an effective drug for brain disorders. Keishi-bukuryo-gan was shown to have inhibitory effects on lipid peroxidation of brain homogenate induced by the ferrous ion-hydrogen peroxide system. This drug inhibited lipid peroxidation of brain homogenate in a concentration-dependent manner. This effect was similar to that of m-a-tocopherol as an antioxidant.
