✦ Synopsis
The microwave-induced emission spectrum of gaseous (\mathrm{ZrS}) has been recorded at high resolution with a Fourier transform spectrophotometer in the region 6900 to (8800 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). A strong band system located around (8000 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}) is identified as the (b^{\prime 3} \Pi 1-a^{3} \Delta) system, not previously observed. The system is analogous to the (b^{3}\left[I-a^{3} \Delta\right.) system of (\mathrm{ZrO}) around (10700 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). The system has been rotationally analyzed, and molecular constants have been determined for the two states involved. The analysis includes bands of the strong ((0,0)) sequence and of the weaker ((1,0)) and ((0,1)) sequences. Only the most abundant isotopomer ({ }^{90} \mathrm{ZrS}) is treated. The fit to the lower state also includes branches of the (d^{3} \Delta-a^{3} \Delta) and (b^{3} \Phi-a^{3} \Delta) systems of (\mathrm{ZrS}). The band system can be recognized in the (J)-band (\left(7400-9700 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}\right.) ) stellar spectrum of the (S)-type Mira variable (\mathbf{R}) And. No other transitions of ZrS were observed in the region 4000 to (10000 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). Co 1995 Academic Press, Inc.

Two double resonance techniques, perturbation facilitated optical-optical double resonance (PFOODR) and collision induced fluorescence (CIF), have been used to excite the 2 3 P g (PFOODR only) and 1 3 D g states of 7 Li 2 . Emission bands of the HfS radical in the region 4700-6900 cm 01 have been recorded with a resolution of 0.008 cm 01 using Fourier transform techniques. The rotational structure of the bands of the 180 H 32 S isotopomer has been analyzed and molecular parameters have been derived for the electronic s
