β¦ Synopsis
Many components of the fundamental band of 32SH+ have been detected and measured in absorption using infrared diode laser spectroscopy. The transitions are characterized by the triplet fine-structure splitting expected for the X 'Z -state of the cation and their positions are in good agreement with predictions obtained from an analysis of the A 'II-X 'Z -system. Some lines with opposite phase to the cation signals are tentatively assigned to SH-.

The pure rotational absorption spectrum of the \(\mathrm{SH}\) radical in the ground \({ }^{2}\) II state was observed by a high-resolution Fourier transform spectrometer. The radical was generated by a dc discharge in an \(\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{~S}, \mathrm{H}_{2}\), and \(\mathrm{He}\) mixture. R
