β¦ Synopsis
The influence of the texture of the polymer support on the kinetics of reduction by supported borohydride is examined. The polymer supports are obtained by chemical modification of styrene/DVB copolymers (chloromethylation and amination). We have shown that the kinetics depend on the texture of the polymeric support. This dependence is explained by the site accessibility which depends on three parameters, viz. surface area, pore volume and crosslinking degree.
