✦ Synopsis
Saturation magnetostriction, domain structure and low field static hysteresis loop propertics for amorphous co ,,_xFe,Si,,B,, (0 <XC 8) were investigated. The saturation magnetostriction depends linearly on composition. The static hysteresis loop parameters for toroidal samples are discussed under the assumption that the magnetization process is influenced by a combination of internal and bending stresses. A heterogeneous distribution of internal stresses waa concluded.
