We briefly review recent progress in elucidating the time-independent critical behavior of systems with infinite numbers of static absorbing states, and show that the critical exponent describing the decay with time of the order parameter right at the critical point is the same as that of the directed percolation problem. The problem of constructing the leading part of a semi-infinite solid of revolution with an axially symmetric flow of an ideal (inviseid and non-heat-eanducting) gas around it which has the ~um critical Maeh number is considered. A numerical-analytic method is proposed for solving this problem. Resu
