✦ Synopsis

The problem of constructing the leading part of a semi-infinite solid of revolution with an axially symmetric flow of an ideal (inviseid and non-heat-eanducting) gas around it which has the ~um critical Maeh number is considered. A numerical-analytic method is proposed for solving this problem. Results are presented for the case of a perfect gas with an adiabatic index ¥ = 1.4.
