The antimicrobial effects of some analgesics, antipyretics, antimalarials, and tranquilizers were determined. The phenothiazines were the most active group. The effect of the chosen drugs when combined with a selected number of antibiotics was studied on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli to
