In this paper, the results of several years of research work by the authors on the microstructure of In-Situ composites are reviewed. Alloy systems inestigated are the fibrous AI-Ni and cobalt-base superalloy Co-Cr-C, and the lamellar AI-Cu and Co-W. The effect of solidification variables and off-eu
