NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
In Memory: Dr. Edward Bresnick Last winter, we lost a valued friend and former colleague with the passing of Edward Bresnick. Dr. Bresnick's contributions to biomedical research and education were far reaching and included the establishment of priorities that continue to be key to the future of research.
His contributions were as personal as they were professional. Those of us who knew him saw him as a loveable man with not only a high level of intelligence and integrity, but also as someone who could cut to the chase with charm and without offending-he was a man who did not believe in hypocrisy.
He was an outstanding scientist who distinguished himself as chair of the basic science departments at four medical schools-Medical College of Georgia,
