β¦ Synopsis
With capillary electrochromatography CEC performed with capillaries Ε½ packed with octadecylsilica gel, photometric detection in the visible and in the . Ε½ . ultraviolet regions is possible in a packed section in-column detection or an Ε½ . emptied section on-column detection of the separation capillary. The influence of the detection mode on linearity of the calibration function, precision, and detection limit is investigated. It is shown that the signal enhancement due to enrichment of solute in the stationary phase can be quantitatively described with an equation derived elsewhere for in-column fluorescence detection.
