Abstract
A new scheme for improving linearly tapered slotβline antenna (LTSA) has been proposed in this article. By setting five metallic strips as a grating into the slotβarea of LTSA, a 2 dB increment of gain over the frequency range of (6.0β9.5) GHz and the bandwidth of (5.3β9.6) GHz for VSWR <2.0:1 are obtained. and a coplanar microstrip feed has been studied. Good agreement between the simulated results and experimental ones confirms the cavity-model theoretical analysis. The results also demonstrate that this proposed antenna achieves high isolation (better than Οͺ41 dB) for two polarizations in the entire
