Isopycnic banding by density gradient centrifugation was used to measure density changes in complexes formed by the interaction between antigen and antibody immobilized on polystyrene latex beads (diameter, 0.109 +/- 0.0025 micron). Measurements of density changes allowed calculation of the interact
