Abstract
Protected homologs of deoxyriboguanylic acid are synthesized on a preparative scale by condensation of monomers according to the diester method. Oligomers with four and more monomeric units are isolated and bound to the free hydroxyl groups of an insoluble poly(vinylalcohol) gel via ester linkage with their 5'‐phosphate groups. The oligo(guanylic acid) gel, obtained after cleavage of the protective groups, is suitable for preparative template‐chromatography of nucleotide mixtures.
