II-VI Inc, which in December paid approximately $31m for Marlow Industries (thermoelectric solutions for cooling and power generation based on compound semiconductor materials), has landed a threeyear DoD contract. Worth $7.5m, this is the largest R&D award in the firm's history of contracts for radar.
