## Abstract The mitochondrial FADโ€dependent glycerolโ€3โ€phosphate dehydrogenase (FADโ€GPDH), recently reported in plants, has been detailed in yeast and animal systems. It oxidizes glycerolโ€3โ€phosphate (Gโ€3โ€P) to dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) on the outer surface of mitochondrial inner membrane.
