โœฆ Synopsis

The challenging problem of identification and control of an industrial binary distillation column is addressed in this paper. Process identification represents an alternative to modeling and is shown to be the appropriate procedure for predictive control design. The predictive controllers based on the identified model ensure stability and high performance for a wide operating range of the industrial distillation column.
