Spermidine/spermine N 1 -acetyltransferase (cSAT), a key enzyme in polyamine degradation, is induced by various hepatotoxins and liver tumor promoters. In this paper we demonstrate that physiological factors, such as cytokines, control cSAT expression in HepG2 human hepatocarcinoma cells. Hepatocyte
