✦ Synopsis

We are constructing a large-acceptance germanium detector system (Ge ball) dedicated to hypernuclear y-ray spectroscopy. Through studies of detailed hypernuclear structure we can obtain information on the spin-dependent AN interactions and investigate modifications of nuclear structure caused by a A as an impurity. Experimental plans are described in detail, in particular, for a KEK experiment on LLi and for a BNL experiment on iBe, i5N, and fi"O.
