Both the Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett films of two C~-glycine ester derivatives, C6o(C6HgNO 4) (1) and C6o(CsHI3NO4) (2), have been prepared at the air/water interface. The Langmuir films can be readily transferred onto hydrophilic quartz substrates in Z type to form LB films. The LB film of 1 has
