The U(IV) 6uorides (C 5 H 14 N 2 ) 2 U 2 F 12 ' 5H 2 O (AU1-2) and (NH 4 ) 7 U 6 F 31 have been prepared from the reaction of UO 3 with HF and homopiperazine (C 5 H 12 N 2 ) at 1803C in aqueous media. AU1-2 contains dodecahedral UF 8 units that share two edges to form 1 [UF 4 F 4/2 ] one-dimensional
