β¦ Synopsis
The hydrogen NMR parameters Ti, T2, and Moi of a white cement were monitored as a function of hydration time. From the nature and time evolution of the some 20 observables that eventually developed, a partial description of the dynamics of cement hydration is proposed.
The results depict the behaviour of the calcium hydroxide, fluid gel, ettringite, solid C-S-H, Fe-relaxed C-S-H, Fe-relaxed pore water, and tentatively differientiated micropore and capillary pore water phases.

The early stages of cement hydration were investlgated by proton spinspin relaxation time (T c) measurements because these experiments can be performed much faster (in several seconds) than the characterlstlc time for a change in hydration evolution. In addition, comparing the free induction decays
