## Abstract A new strategy to cyclize short synthetic oligonucleotides on DNA or RNA target strands is described. The approach is based on metalβtemplated cyclization of short synthetic oligonucleotides conjugated with two chelating 2,2β²β:β6β²,2β²β²βterpyridine (Tpy) moieties at their 3β²β and 5β²βends.
Oligonucleotides are becoming more and more important in molecular biomedicine; for example, they are used as defined primers in polymerase chain reaction and as antisense oligonucleotides in gene therapy. In this paper, we model the dynamics of polymer-supported oligonucleotide synthesis to an inve
