โœฆ Synopsis

The presence of human papillomavirus (HPV) sequences in 2 I biopsies from cervical carcinomas, I I specimens of tissues adjacent to tumours, 2 specimens of cervical tissues with radiation fibrosis from patients after radiation therapy of cervical cancer and 7 normal epithelial tissues from the patients with other genital tumours were examined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Southern-blot analysis. All tumours were HPV-positive by type-specific PCR and 86% by Southern-blot

## Abstract We tried to investigate the expression rate of human papillomavirus (HPV) L1 capsid protein in uterine cervical specimens and correlate it with the grade of dysplasia, HPV genotype and age of the patients. Among uterine cervical specimens proved to have HPV by DNA genotyping test, eight

HLA class II alleles have been associated with an increased risk of developing cervical cancer through infection with oncogenic forms of human papilloma virus (HPV). We have examined the association of variation at the DRB1 and DQB1 loci with HPV16 infection and risk of development of cervical cance

We determined the utility of an assay for 13 cancerassociated HPV types in primary cervical cancer screening of Zimbabwe women at high risk of HIV infection. HIV antibody status was determined by ELISA of oral mucosal specimens, and HPV DNA in the genital tract was identified by hybridization of cer

A substantial body of evidence has confirmed human papillomavirus (HPV) infection as the central etiological agent in human cervical carcinogenesis. In Honduras, cervical cancer is the most common cancer among women, with a high annual incidence. We conducted a population-based, case-control study o

Cancer of the genital tract is the final outcome of some infections with human papillomavirus (HPVs), and the most estrogen-sensitive cells are at greatest risk for the HPV-related cancers. Therefore we investigated relationships between HPVs and estrogen metabolism in cells of the genital tract. In
