How We Do It
This issue contains the first two in a series of articles entitled 'How We Do It'. The section of the journal will consist of articles by practising cochlear implant professionals on how they solve difficult problems in their discipline. The first topic in this series concerns paediatric rehabilitation and the problem all therapists are faced with -keeping young children with a short attention span motivated during their rehabilitation.
We asked Anne Marie Tharpe and Douglas Sladen from Nashville, Te nnessee, for their view, and Margaret Winter and Kathleen Lehnert from the House Ear Institute, Los Angeles, for a second view. Both centres were asked to address the following specific issues:
