โฆ Synopsis
Using symmetry considerations and exact diagonalization techniques, we examine the heavy-fermion behavior in an eight-site periodic small-cluster t-t'-J model on the fcc lattice. An interpolation scheme is introduced to construct an interface structure. The ground-state properties and the heavy-fermion (correlation) behavior as the function of the interface coupling axe studied. High-spin magnetic heavy-fermion states axe identified at the ferromagnet/heavy-fermlon interfaces. Implications of the calculated results axe discussed.
