We report on high-field (B < 38 T) magnetoresistance experiments on a single-crystalline sample of the heavy-fermion antiferromagnet UPd2A13 (T N = 14 K) at liquid-helium temperatures. The antiferromagnetic phase boundary, previously detected by magnetization measurements at B c = 18 T for a field i

Highly c-axis er~ented thin films of the heavy fermion superconductor UPd2AI3 were prepared by electron-beam coevaporation of the constituent elements in a MBE-system. The phase purity and structural quality of the films deposited on different substrate materials were investigated. For transport mea

The following issues concerning UPd2A13 are addressed: (i) its anisotropic magnetic phase diagram which can be explained by domain-reorientation effects, (ii) the coexistence between magnetically ordered local 5f moments and Cooper pairs formed by weakly delocalized 5f states and (iii) distinct anom

We report experimental results of the electrical resistivity and the specific heat of UPd2Γ·xAia+r(nominal) single crystals. An anomaly in the specific heat, which was reported previously, has disappeared in the present measurement, although there still exists an anomaly in the thermal expansion. The
