✦ Synopsis

The hot band structure of the high-resolution Fourier transform spectra of monoiodoacetylene measured in the region of the bending fundamental n 1 4 (600-655 cm 01 ) with a resolution of 0.0020 cm 01 has been studied in detail. In addition, three spectra n 4 / n 5 0 n 4 (180-320 cm 01 ), 2n 0 4 (1220-1285 cm 01 ), and (n 4 / n 5 ) 0 (S / ) (850-950 cm 01 ), outside the n 4 region, have been recorded. The rotational structures of the overtone level £ 4 Å 2 and the combination level £ 4 Å £ 5 Å 1 have been investigated by analyzing the observed spectra with a model that includes the various l-type resonances. Furthermore, the level system formed by the combination levels £ 3 Å £ 4 Å 1 and £ 4 Å 1, £ 5 Å 2 has been studied by taking into account the Fermi resonances and the different l resonances.
