✦ Synopsis

An infrared absorption spectrum of the (\nu_{2}) band of (\mathrm{H}^{14} \mathrm{~N}{3}) has been measured with a spectral resolution of (0.006 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}). Seven (\Delta K{a}=0) subbands have been identified, and the rotational structure of each band has been assigned and analyzed to give effective rotational constants and values for the subband origins. In the observed spectra, hot band transitions are clearly evident. Two subbands due to transitions from the (v_{\text {s state }}) state have been assigned and analyzed.
