✦ Synopsis

We report the linear retention indices of the 14 methylnitronaphthalenes on three high resolution capillary columns and their electron impact mass spectra. The analyses of the methylnitronaphthalenes in an ambient air sample by gas chromatography/ mass spectrometrywith multiple ion detection utilizing 5% phenylmethylsilicone, 50% phenylmethylsilicone, and smectic columns are shown.
